Dubai expat, Sami Ali, has made it to American Idol’s top 12 after receiving a second chance from the judges. Ali impressed the judges during the audition round but failed to secure enough votes from the audience during the voting round. However, the judges saved him and gave him another opportunity to showcase his talent.
Ali, who hails from Pakistan, has been living in Dubai for the past 11 years. He works as a sales executive and has always had a passion for music. He started singing at the age of 15 and has been performing at local events and competitions in Dubai.
American Idol has been a dream for Ali for a long time, and he decided to audition for the show when the opportunity arose. He impressed the judges during his audition with his rendition of “All I Want” by Kodaline.
However, during the voting round, Ali did not receive enough votes from the audience to secure a spot in the top 12. But the judges saw potential in him and decided to use their one and only “save” to give him a second chance.
Ali was ecstatic when he received the news that he had been saved by the judges. He said, “I was over the moon when I found out that I had been saved. It was a dream come true for me. I have been working hard for this for a long time, and I am grateful for this opportunity.”
