The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy (AGDA) in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with O.P. Jindal Global University (JGU) in India. The agreement marks a significant step forward in the two institutions’ shared commitment to promoting education, research, and cultural exchange between the UAE and India.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash, the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the UAE and Chairman of AGDA, and Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar, Vice Chancellor of JGU. The signing ceremony was held in the presence of senior representatives from both institutions and was conducted virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

The agreement will pave the way for a range of academic collaborations between AGDA and JGU, including the exchange of faculty and students, joint research projects, and the development of joint academic programs. The MoU will also provide opportunities for AGDA and JGU to work together on initiatives aimed at promoting cultural and intellectual exchange between the UAE and India.

“The MoU between AGDA and JGU represents an important milestone in the strong and growing relationship between the UAE and India,” said His Excellency Dr. Anwar Gargash. “We are confident that this partnership will help to further deepen the understanding and cooperation between our two countries and will contribute to the development of a more interconnected and inclusive world.”

JGU Vice Chancellor Professor (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar echoed this sentiment, saying, “We are honored to enter into this MoU with the Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy. The Anwar Gargash Diplomatic Academy is the premier institution for the training and development of diplomats in the UAE, and its partnerships with leading universities around the world play a key role in its mission to promote diplomatic excellence. JGU, on the other hand, is one of India’s leading universities, known for its innovative and interdisciplinary approach to education and research.

The MoU between AGDA and JGU is set to have a lasting impact on the education and research communities in both the UAE and India, and will help to foster greater understanding and cooperation between the two countries. With this agreement in place, the two institutions are poised to make a significant contribution to the development of a more interconnected and inclusive world.
