Ana de Armas and Chris Evans spill the beans on working with each other in new film ‘Ghosted’

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, de Armas gushed about her experience working alongside Evans in an action film, saying, “I loved reversing the roles and the expectations of what an action movie should be like and who carries the film, in the sense of that strength and being in control, and it was just really fun… I loved every moment of, you know, watching him trip and stumble and roll down a hill.”

Ana de Armas and Chris Evans are teaming up once again, this time for Apple TV’s highly anticipated action rom-com, “Ghosted”. The blonde bombshell actress, who recently appeared in “No Time to Die” and is set to star in “Ballerina”, a John Wick spinoff, is no stranger to action films. However, working with Evans in a damsel-in-distress dynamic was especially fun for the actress.

The Blonde actress de Armas, who had a memorable cameo in the latest James Bond film, No Time to Die, and is all set to play a dancer turned assassin in the upcoming John Wick spinoff film, Ballerina, is not stranger to action films.

In a recent interview, de Armas spoke about her experience working with Evans in this new film. As someone who has already starred in action films like the latest James Bond movie, No Time to Die, and the upcoming John Wick spinoff, Ballerina, de Armas is no stranger to the genre. However, she found it especially fun to play the role of the “strong” one while Evans’ character played the “damsel in distress.”

Directed by Dexter Fletcher, the film sees Evans playing Cole, a hapless guy who gets ghosted by Sadie, played by de Armas, after going on a date with her. It turns out that Sadie is a secret agent, and in Cole’s attempts to pursue her, he lands himself right in the middle of an international incident.

For Evans, “Ghosted” is an opportunity to play a character far removed from his superhero role as Captain America. In the same interview with Entertainment Tonight, Evans expressed his excitement for the film, saying, “It just felt like something I grew up watching… it’s really hinging on the chemistry between the characters.” In a recent sitting with Entertainment Tonight to discuss the Apple TV+ rom-com, Evans joked “Whatever Ana’s doing, I want at least one day on set.”

Evans plays Cole, a character who is far less capable than Captain America and has a human reaction when faced with moments of panic. “Nothing about Cole is cool, you know? He goes to pieces, but it’s endearing. That’s fun to play,” Evans shared. “It’s nice to play someone who has not only far less capabilities than someone like Captain America, but in moments of panic has a human reaction,” Evans said of playing his character Cole, which is similar to his pre-MCU roles in rom-coms like What’s Your Number? and The Nanny Diaries.

“Ghosted” is not the first time Evans and de Armas have appeared on screen together. The pair previously starred in Rian Johnson’s 2019 hit “Knives Out” and will also reunite for the upcoming Netflix action-thriller “The Gray Man”.

Ghosted is directed by Dexter Fletcher, who previously directed the Elton John biopic Rocketman. The film reunites de Armas and Evans, who previously worked together on the 2019 film Knives Out and the 2022 Netflix action-thriller The Gray Man.

The upcoming rom-com is slated for an April 21 release, and it promises to be a fun and exciting addition to the action-comedy genre. Fans of de Armas and Evans won’t want to miss this dynamic duo on screen once again.

“Ghosted” promises to be a thrilling and entertaining romp, with de Armas and Evans leading the charge. The film is set for release on April 21, and fans of both actors are eagerly anticipating its arrival.
