Due to the unstable weather in the UAE, private-sector companies have been advised to enable their employees to work remotely.

Amidst the changing weather patterns across the country, the National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has conducted a series of meetings to address the situation. Earlier this week, a weather alert was issued, forecasting varying-intensity rainfall, lightning, thunder, and possible hail in certain areas from Sunday to Tuesday.

The NCEMA has reiterated the implementation of precautionary measures and assured the readiness of the nation to manage the anticipated drop in temperatures. Additionally, the authority issued an advisory urging residents to strictly adhere to safety protocols, particularly in areas susceptible to heavy rainfall. Motorists have been advised to exercise extreme caution, avoiding water channels, flood-prone routes, and aquatic terrains. Emphasizing the importance of relying on official sources for accurate information and guidance, the NCEMA urged the public to refrain from spreading rumors.

The Ministry of Interior has also affirmed its preparedness to address the temperature decrease and urged the public to remain vigilant, exercise caution, and adhere to safety requirements and guidelines.

Furthermore, Ras Al Khaimah Police have reminded motorists to practice safe driving habits during adverse weather conditions. Drivers are encouraged to use low-beam headlights to improve visibility and ensure that windshield wipers are functioning properly. The police also advised motorists to inspect their vehicle’s brakes after traversing through puddles and cautioned against venturing into valleys during rainfall.
