Mohamed Abdalla Al Zaabi, Group CEO of Miral, has been making waves in the world of business and leadership. As the Group CEO of Miral, he has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fostering remarkable experiences on Yas Island and in Abu Dhabi.
Al Zaabi assumed the role of CEO at Miral in 2015, and under his leadership, the company has flourished as a leading curator of immersive experiences in the region. With a decade of experience in project management and various leadership positions, Al Zaabi’s career path has been nothing short of remarkable.
His journey began at Aldar Properties, where he served as the Director of Estates and later as the Director of Strategic Investments, overseeing the strategic portfolio plan for a group of subsidiaries and joint ventures. His extensive knowledge in these roles laid a solid foundation for his future endeavours.
In his current capacity as Group CEO, Al Zaabi manages the dynamic and growing portfolio of assets on Yas Island and in Abu Dhabi, positioning the region as a global hotspot for entertainment, leisure, and business. Through strategic investments and key partnerships, he has overseen the successful infusion of over AED 9 billion into completed projects on Yas Island.
Notably, Al Zaabi’s leadership has resulted in partnerships with world-renowned leisure and entertainment brands such as SeaWorld Entertainment Inc and Warner Bros. These partnerships have contributed to Yas Island becoming home to a multitude of award-winning experiences, attracting a staggering 29 million visitations in 2019.
Al Zaabi’s journey to leadership was marked by a diverse range of experiences. After his service in the military, he transitioned to Emirates Advanced Investment, heading Integrated Technologies. In 2008, he ventured into project and construction development, marking his entry into Aldar Properties PJSC.
Apart from his role at Miral, Al Zaabi holds important board positions as Chairman of Experience Hub, a subsidiary of Miral and the trade and promotion arm of Yas Island Abu Dhabi. He also serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at Farah Experiences LLC, which manages and operates entertainment experiences on Yas Island Abu Dhabi.
Al Zaabi’s accomplishments extend beyond the world of business. He was the first Emirati to earn the prestigious Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) certificate from Cisco, a notable achievement in the IT industry. His academic qualifications include an Executive MBA from INSEAD and an MSc in Strategic Project Planning from Heriot-Watt University in the United Kingdom. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UAE University.
