Thousands of Saudis are set to receive training on event management and safety protocols thanks to a new agreement between Qatar-based Stadium LLC and The Saudi Excellence Co. The deal will see the provision of services at a new academy, and comes as the Kingdom looks to boost its entertainment and live events sector as part of the Vision 2030 initiative to diversify the economy and reduce its reliance on oil revenues.

Stadium LLC in Qatar played a key role in last year’s FIFA World Cup, and the agreement with The Saudi Excellence Co. will ensure that its expertise is shared with Saudi Arabia. The two companies signed a memorandum of understanding to provide training on event management and safety protocols, with the aim of ensuring that the Kingdom can host large-scale events safely and successfully.

The agreement is a significant step for the Kingdom, which has recently seen a boom in its entertainment sector. The Vision 2030 initiative aims to reduce Saudi Arabia’s reliance on oil revenues, and diversify the economy through investment in a range of sectors, including entertainment and tourism. The Kingdom has seen a flurry of new projects announced in recent years, including plans for a new entertainment city outside of Riyadh, and the development of a new Red Sea resort.

However, as the entertainment sector grows, there is a need to ensure that events are managed safely and effectively. The training provided by Stadium LLC in Qatar will help to ensure that Saudis are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to manage large-scale events, including music festivals, sporting events, and exhibitions.

Commenting on the agreement, Stadium LLC CEO, Mr. Faisal Al Naama, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with The Saudi Excellence Co. to provide this important service. The Kingdom is rapidly developing its entertainment sector, and it is important that events are managed safely and effectively. Our experience at the FIFA World Cup will be invaluable in helping to train Saudis in event management and safety protocols.”

The Saudi Excellence Co. is an established training provider in the Kingdom, and has previously worked with the Ministry of Health and other government bodies. The company will be responsible for setting up the academy, and providing the necessary facilities and support for the training courses.

Dr. Fahad Al Sahaf, CEO of The Saudi Excellence Co., said: “We are very pleased to be working with Stadium LLC on this important initiative. The Kingdom is looking to develop its entertainment and live events sector, and this training will help to ensure that events are managed safely and successfully. We look forward to working closely with Stadium LLC to develop the academy, and provide the necessary training and support for Saudis.”

The training provided by Stadium LLC will be of great benefit to Saudis, not only in terms of building skills and knowledge, but also in creating new job opportunities in the events and entertainment industry. With the growth of the sector, there is a growing demand for trained professionals who can manage events and ensure that they run smoothly and safely.

The training will cover a range of topics, including event planning and management, risk assessment and management, crowd management, and emergency response. Participants will also learn about the latest technologies and techniques used in the industry, such as digital ticketing systems, real-time monitoring, and crowd tracking.

The agreement between Stadium LLC and The Saudi Excellence Co. is a positive development for the Kingdom’s entertainment sector, and demonstrates the growing cooperation between Saudi Arabia and its neighbors in the Gulf region. As the Kingdom continues to develop its entertainment sector, it is likely that there will be further opportunities for collaboration with firms from across the region, as well as from other parts of the world.
