The strategic partnership aims to revolutionize eye care in the UAE Alliance Care Technologies through transformative AI solutions.
Australian-based Eyetelligence, a developer of decision-making support software, and United Arab Emirates (UAE)-based Alliance Care Technologies (ACT), a developer of innovative solutions in digital healthcare, have forged a strategic partnership to introduce revolutionary AI-driven solutions in the field of ophthalmology to the UAE market. The collaboration was announced during the Precision Med Expo held in Dubai.
The signing of the Preferred Partnership agreement at the Precision Med Expo signifies a significant step towards providing independent clinics and hospital-based facilities in the UAE with advanced support for Glaucoma detection, Referable Diabetic Retinopathy screening with grading, and screening for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD).
The ceremony took place at the Alliance Care Technologies booth at the expo, with the presence of Mounir Sankary, the Australian Deputy Consul General for Dubai. Key representatives from Eyetelligence included Founder Prof. Mingguang He, MD PhD; CEO Rainer Grote, and Chief Strategy Officer Jason Sun. Alliance Care Technologies was represented by Founder and CEO Michele Tarnow, and Chief Medical Officer Dr. Aaron Han, MD, PhD.
Eyetelligence made its introduction to the UAE market at the Precision Med Summit, where Prof. Mingguang He delivered an in-person presentation. Prof. Mingguang He, a globally recognized expert in the clinical adoption of artificial intelligence in medicine, is the founder of Eyetelligence and Eyerising, two Australian-based international MedTech companies that commercialize his AI technology and light therapy technology.
According to Prof. Mingguang He, the integration of AI into image-driven medical practices, including ophthalmology, has been a significant breakthrough. Thanks to the availability of extensive datasets and enhanced computing power, deep learning algorithms (DLAs) have opened doors for significantly improved accuracy in the automated detection and diagnosis of eye diseases. This advancement reduces reliance on human input, improving accessibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, resulting in quicker, more affordable, and consistent ocular disease diagnosis and management.
Eyetelligence offers an advanced AI software solution called Eyetelligence Assure, which analyzes retinal images to identify features associated with glaucoma, referable diabetic retinopathy, and referrable neovascular age-related macular degeneration. Supported by peer-reviewed publications and journals, Eyetelligence’s deep learning technology empowers clinicians to make well-informed clinical decisions swiftly, accurately, and confidently, ensuring optimal health outcomes for patients.
Additionally, Eyetelligence provides Eyetelligence Microvascular, a non-invasive platform for early detection of cardiovascular disease based on a microvascular profile. Meanwhile, Eyerising introduces Eyerising Myproclear, the world’s first non-invasive, at-home device for controlling the progression of childhood myopia.
Michele Tarnow, CEO of Alliance Care Technologies, anticipates strong demand for this advanced technology across the region. She stated that their partnerships with Eyetelligence and Eyerising in the Gulf Region will equip independent clinics and hospital-based facilities with crucial support for Glaucoma detection, Referable Diabetic Retinopathy screening with grading, and screening for neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). Tarnow expressed delight at Prof. Mingguang He’s presence to share his expertise and present these advanced technological solutions in person.
Alliance Care Technologies, on the other hand, brings its expertise in digital healthcare solutions to the partnership. The company has a strong focus on preventative health measures and aims to provide comprehensive support for eye clinics and hospitals. With their advanced solutions, they seek to enhance glaucoma detection, diabetic retinopathy screening, and the screening of age-related macular degeneration. By combining their capabilities with Eyetelligence’s AI technology, Alliance Care Technologies aims to improve accessibility, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness in eye care services.
Mounir Sankary, Deputy Consul-General Dubai and Trade Commissioner at the Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade), expressed his satisfaction with the partnership agreement between Eyetelligence and Alliance Care Technologies. He emphasized that this collaboration leverages advanced AI capabilities to provide quality preventative health measures for the people of the UAE. Sankary commended the partnership as a prime example of the passion and expertise shared between Australia and the UAE, focusing on innovation and reducing the burden of ill health in the community.
