The Saudi Center for Government Communication has initiated a program aimed at promoting digital content.
The Saudi Center for Government Communication, which operates under the Ministry of Media, has recently launched a new initiative to stimulate digital content. The Vocational Training Initiative is part of the Ignite program, and is set to begin in the latter half of 2023, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology. The initiative is aimed at propelling Saudi Arabia to a leading position in the global digital content sector by 2030.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Maghlouth, who is the undersecretary of the Ministry of Media for Communication, has revealed that the initiative will foster partnerships between the public and private sectors in order to develop digital content in various areas, with a focus on digital video, audio, games and advertising. This will be achieved through the creation of several tracks for training and development in digital content creation.
“The Vocational Training Initiative is one of the initiatives of the digital content program Ignite, which aims to provide on-the-job training opportunities and develop professional skills in the digital content sector and its platforms,” Al-Maghlouth said.
”The initiative seeks to provide training opportunities for up to 120 talented fresh graduates, in cooperation with 30 private sector companies. The said training will run for six months. In addition to vocational training, the initiative provides training courses that enhance knowledge in the digital content sector for male and female talents,” he added.
Candidates will have to pass through three stages of nomination determined by specialists in the field, as well as partner companies in the initiative.
To promote digital content, attract fresh investments, and support the development of new communications infrastructure, the Ignite program was established. As a component of Saudi Arabia’s plan to enhance its digital content and become a top producer of audio and visual content, the program is aimed at creating a leading digital media hub. The primary objective of the CGC is to enhance government communication tools and integrate them into the Ministry of Media’s strategy, with a view to enhancing the capabilities of media personnel.
The Vocational Training Initiative is a key component of the Ignite program, which seeks to support and develop the digital content industry in Saudi Arabia. With this initiative, the Saudi Center for Government Communication hopes to create more opportunities for those interested in pursuing a career in digital content creation, as well as increase the country’s competitiveness in the global market.
The Saudi government has been making significant investments in the digital sector in recent years, recognizing the potential for growth and job creation in this area. By launching the Vocational Training Initiative as part of the Ignite program, the Saudi Center for Government Communication is taking a step towards achieving its goal of making Saudi Arabia a leader in the digital content sector by 2030.
