The Energy Industries Council (EIC), a leading energy trade association, has confirmed its participation in the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition Conference (ADIPEC) 2023, where it will host the UK Pavilion. This year’s ADIPEC, scheduled to take place from the 2nd to the 5th of October in Abu Dhabi, marks the 20th anniversary of EIC’s presence at this premier energy event.

ADIPEC has grown to become the world’s most influential energy gathering, serving as a crucial forum where industry professionals convene to explore opportunities and establish enduring partnerships. For the 2023 edition, the UK Pavilion will showcase the offerings of over 100 companies, reflecting an impressive growth of more than 11 percent compared to the previous year. This expansive pavilion also includes dedicated sections for Scotland and Wales, each highlighting their commitment to decarbonization with 25 and 14 exhibitors, respectively.

Stuart Broadley, CEO of EIC, who will be present in Abu Dhabi for the event, anticipates a dynamic gathering that will convey significant messages resonating across the industry. “This year’s ADIPEC holds particular significance as the UAE is poised to host COP28 in November, an event we expect to be one of the most inclusive COP gatherings to date. This distinction arises from its being hosted by an oil-producing nation that is simultaneously a global leader in the clean energy sector and home to the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA),” emphasized Broadley.

With the Middle East slated to host 683 energy projects valued at US$1,112 billion from 2023 to 2030, ADIPEC stands out as the preeminent destination for the global energy industry.

Positioned at the heart of the exhibition, the UK Pavilion invites networking opportunities through VIP tours, panel sessions, one-on-one meetings, and contractor presentations delivered by industry giants like Kent, McDermott, Petrofac, and Wood. An exclusive networking reception will further facilitate interactions between influential figures from the industry, GCC-based buyers, and the exhibitors at the UK Pavilion.

Broadley remarked, “We encourage our members and energy supply chain companies at large to leverage the extensive networking opportunities presented by this global event. We extend a warm invitation to visit the UK and EIC Pavilion, engage with exhibitors, and explore their innovative offerings. It’s a week for companies to stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies, as well as a platform to showcase their unique capabilities. While competition is fierce, excellence invariably yields its rewards.”
