AEserver’s evolution mirrored the changing landscape of the .ae namespace. In 2008, the UAE government initiated a transformation, leading to the establishment of the aeDA (ae domain administration). AEserver, under Munir’s leadership, adapted swiftly, forming crucial partnerships, securing investment, and office space, and obtaining its independent license to operate within the namespace. This marked the official launch of the AEserver brand.
Today, AEserver boasts an impressive clientele, including medium to large companies, major airlines, real estate agencies, online shops, and government websites. Munir Badr has not only excelled as a business leader but has also become a recognized public figure in the region. Munir’s journey is grounded in his education, holding a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from the American University of Sharjah. As a UAE resident since 1996, he has witnessed the nation’s remarkable transformation from sand dunes to iconic skyscrapers, envisioning the continuing internet revolution.
Fluent in Arabic, English, and Russian, Munir’s commitment to excellence led AEserver to win the prestigious SME Award in Dubai in 2014, specifically the “Best Technology & Online” category at the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) SME Stars of Business Awards.
