Mohamed El Bassiouni: Architect of Happiness, Entrepreneurial Visionary, and Creative Disruptor

In the dynamic landscape of Egyptian entrepreneurship, Mohamed El Bassiouni stands as a beacon of innovation and resilience. A construction engineer turned entrepreneur, he embarked on a journey that transcends the conventional boundaries of business. As the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Tayarah, Mohamed has not only redefined the advertising landscape but also become a pioneer in digital storytelling and content creation.

The story begins in 2011, a challenging time for Egypt, when Mohamed decided to infuse a dose of happiness into the nation. What initially started as Disalata, Egypt’s first online content magazine, evolved into Tayarah World in 2016. Under Mohamed’s guidance, Tayarah transformed into Egypt’s first untraditional advertising boutique and a veteran content hub. As the Managing Director, he orchestrates a symphony of creativity, continuously adding value to brands and captivating targeted audiences through innovative formats and optimized productions.

Tayarah World’s impressive portfolio boasts over 1000 online videos, earning the recognition of three international creative awards. Collaborations with Egypt’s most esteemed brands, agencies, and celebrities underscore Mohamed’s ability to navigate the intersection of creativity and commerce. His leadership has propelled Tayarah World into a realm of distinction, setting benchmarks in the Egyptian digital landscape.

In 2022, Mohamed El Bassiouni took on a new role as a moderator, hosting the original round-table digital format, “Khatwetein Li Warra”. Inspired by his late brother, Hisham El Bassiouni, this initiative aimed at inspiring aspiring Egyptian entrepreneurs by sharing raw, humane, and authentic stories of acclaimed businessmen across various industries. The show garnered over a million views for its first season, a testament to Mohamed’s ability to connect with audiences and inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs.

Beyond his entrepreneurial ventures, Mohamed demonstrates a keen eye for talent. His track record includes nurturing skills through training and creative incubation, as seen in the rise of Ahmed El Ruby, a rising Egyptian singer who, with Tayarah, created “Sa2fa” – a song dedicated to the Gouna Film Festival in 2019, amassing over 10 million digital views.

A father of two, Mohamed El Bassiouni extends his visionary approach to parenting, creating a safe space for his children to discover and pursue their passions. He encourages them to break traditional expectations, instilling a growth mindset that values knowledge and embraces failure as constructive learning.

Mohamed’s vision extends beyond personal achievements; he aspires to impact the region’s digital ecosystem continually. Fueled by creativity, resilience, and organizational skills, he aims to evolve and disrupt the content footprint, leaving an indelible mark on the digital landscape. In Mohamed El Bassiouni, Egypt has found not just an entrepreneur but a visionary leader shaping the future of digital storytelling and entrepreneurship in the region.
