Before, the UAE imposed varied costs for transit permits based on the length of stay and the nationality of the tourist. A 48-hour transit visa cost AED 50 (about USD 14) as of September 2021, while a 96-hour transit visa cost AED 100.

VFS Global, a service provider business, recently advised applicants of the new adjustments in a statement, according to Arabian Business. The transit visa price in the United Arab Emirates has been raised from $40.55 to $59.57, and the express 96-hour transit visa has been raised to $83.65.

Residents of certain countries will be required to pay a refundable security deposit, which will be paid to the applicant – around $272.5 + taxes will be refunded to the customer, and their exit will be recorded in the system.

A 96-hour transit visa costs $33 without a deposit, plus a $22.52 processing fee. Also, incidental costs of $4.05. An express 96-hour visa, on the other hand, includes a service price of $42.92 and incidental expenses of roughly $7.73. The system automatically selects the visa category, and the system calculates the visa fee depending on the visa category and the applicant’s country of residency.

Any those who are not exempt from UAE Tourist Visas or are ineligible for a UAE Visa on Arrival, as well as those who have a flight within the next 48 to 96 hours. Nationals from Somalia, Iraq, Niger, Afghanistan, and Yemen are not eligible to apply for a Transit Visa to the UAE.

Furthermore, people from a number of countries, including the EU, Honduras, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Montenegro, Norway, Russia, Switzerland, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Nationals of Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Chile, Nauru, Paraguay, Serbia, Solomon Islands, Seychelles, and Uruguay can also enter the UAE without a visa for up to 90 days. The information have not been posted on the immigration authority’s website, but visa outsourcing business VFS Global has confirmed the pricing changes.
