H.E. Hussain Al Mahmoudi, a visionary leader in the realm of innovation and business development, holds dual roles as the CEO of the Sharjah Research, Technology and Innovation Park (SRTI Park) and the American University of Sharjah Enterprises. Established by the Ruler of Sharjah and Supreme Council Member, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the SRTI Park is a testament to Sharjah’s commitment to technological advancement and research. Under Mr. Hussain’s leadership, the park has become a hub for collaborative ventures, driving innovation to new heights.
Prior to this role, Al Mahmoudi served as the Director General of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where he spearheaded transformative initiatives like the SME Act and the Sharjah Business Forum. His eight-year tenure solidified his reputation as a dynamic leader with a keen understanding of economic development.
Al Mahmoudi’s illustrious career spans esteemed organizations including the Royal Dutch Shell Group, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), and various Dubai Holding entities. His contributions extend beyond the corporate realm; he is an honorary board member of the Tatweer Forum and Maastricht University in the Netherlands, and chairs the Emirates Business Council for Sustainable Development. Additionally, he serves on the board of the Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center (Sheraa).
Educated at the American University of Sharjah, Al Mahmoudi holds an MBA, complemented by a BA in Economics and Communications from Seattle Pacific University in the US. His academic prowess is a testament to his dedication to lifelong learning and excellence.
