Clarita attributes her success in part to the guidance of her partner, Mark Greig, who has played a pivotal role as a mentor in her life. “My partner has helped me elevate my business mind to the next level, and it’s been a transformative experience,” she says. Her ability to keep her creativity intact has been effortless, thanks to her inherent musical inclination. Clarita views business and music as interconnected worlds that continually fuel each other.
Managing a boutique hotel in Thailand while balancing her music career and academic pursuits has proven to be a bold entrepreneurial move for Clarita. The idea of Villa Nirvana, located in Samui, was born when she and her partner discovered the property. “Villa Nirvana was already an established hotel, but when my partner and I discovered it, we immediately saw its incredible potential. We had been searching for an exceptional property for a couple of years, and the moment we stepped through the front doors, the view absolutely took our breath away. It’s honestly one of the best views I’ve ever seen—not just in Samui, but in the world.”
Perched atop a mountain, Villa Nirvana offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding islands and lush forests below. “You can change the architecture of a building, but you can’t change the location, and this location was truly exceptional,” she reflects.
Running Villa Nirvana has been an exciting journey, though not without its challenges. From managing renovations to handling marketing, procurement, and bookings, Clarita has embraced every aspect of running the boutique hotel. “Moving to a new location and working with a new construction team was a steep learning curve, but I’ve loved every step of the process. Seeing the hotel come to life and creating a space where guests can experience that unforgettable view has been incredibly rewarding.”
The transition from a successful career in modeling and music to pursuing a Master’s in Law and a Doctorate might seem remarkable to some, but for Clarita, it’s a natural progression. Her decision was deeply personal, stemming from a difficult experience during her first degree in Scotland when her mother passed away while she was studying for finals.
“That experience has haunted me on multiple levels,” she said. “I kept having recurring dreams about that period in my life. Interestingly, those dreams stopped when I returned to university to pursue my LLM.”
In 2022, a diving trip where she helped others study for their qualifications reignited her passion for academia, leading her to pursue advanced legal studies. This intellectual growth, she believes, will enhance her creative projects and business ventures.
“With a more refined understanding of the law and sharper mental acuity, I’m able to approach everything from a more informed and strategic perspective,” Clarita explains.
The decision to eliminate alcohol from her life has also played a significant role in her transformation. Clarita describes a newfound clarity and focus that has empowered her to tackle new academic challenges and advance her business pursuits.
“I feel sharper, more focused, and more in tune with everything I’m working on,” she shares.
While modeling and business have played important roles in her journey, Clarita’s true passion lies in music. She sees it as a form of expression that allows her to connect with people on a deeper level. “Music is the ultimate universal language—it speaks directly to the heart, beyond words,” she stated.
Clarita recognizes that modeling provided her with a platform to build her brand, while hospitality taught her the importance of creating memorable experiences. Yet, music remains the driving force behind her endeavors.
Her experiences performing alongside icons like Sir Elton John and Missy Elliot have profoundly shaped her identity as an artist.
“Performing with legends was incredibly humbling,” she recalls. “It made me realize that I was sharing the stage with true greatness.”
These experiences motivated her to work harder, dream bigger, and push the boundaries of what she can achieve. Clarita emphasizes that dedication and passion can lead to limitless possibilities in one’s career.
The entertainment industry can be intense, and the pressure to remain relevant is real. For Clarita, staying grounded is essential. She maintains a solid support circle comprised of family and friends who remind her of her roots during challenging times.
“Staying humble is so important,” she mentioned adding, “You have to remember your roots and the values that got you here.”
Clarita believes in embracing failure as a natural part of the journey. Instead of trying to please everyone, she focuses on the people who appreciate her work and her artistry.
“Being honest and true to your art is the best I can do. As long as I know I’ve given my best, if it’s not enough for some, at least I’ve stayed true to myself.” This mindset allows her to evolve naturally within her craft, as she finds joy in what she does rather than chasing trends. She emphasizes the importance of taking breaks to recharge, ensuring she remains inspired and present in her work.
As a multifaceted artist, Clarita confronts several misconceptions about balancing beauty, intellect, and business acumen in the entertainment world. “People often assume that if you’re focused on your appearance, then your intellect or business sense must take a back seat. But the reality is that these aspects can complement each other.”
She believes that success in the entertainment industry requires strategy, discipline, and smart decision-making, rather than relying solely on looks or talent. Clarita embraces all sides of herself and sees her diverse interests as complementary rather than competing.
Moreover, Travel has also played a significant role in shaping Clarita’s worldview and artistry. Each destination she visits adds a new layer to her creative expression. She cites the UAE as an integral part of her career’s development.
“The people, the concerts, the opportunities there have been absolutely world-class,” she says, reflecting on her time in the UAE. “It has played a pivotal role in my growth as an artist and entrepreneur.”
Lebanon, specifically Beirut, holds a special place in her heart. The city became a second home for her, where the rich culture and music left a lasting impact. “My deep love and respect for Arabic oriental music has influenced my work. The rhythms, melodies, and emotion in that music moved me in a way I hadn’t experienced before.”
However, in the male-dominated entertainment and business sectors, Clarita acknowledges that her experiences have been different from what many might expect. Rather than facing typical challenges, she credits the support of both men and women for her success. “I work hard, and my gender has never played a role in what I do or how difficult the journey has been for me. Men have been instrumental in my success—they’ve helped, supported, and mentored me along the way,” she added.
Clarita’s recent foray into academic research reveals her commitment to continuous growth. While she doesn’t see an explicit connection between her artistic background and legal studies, she has developed a passion for Family Law, inspired by her experiences working with a talented family lawyer. “This has deepened my commitment to understanding justice and knowing the rights that protect individuals and families,” she explains.
She is motivated to champion causes related to family law, driven by a desire to make a positive impact in people’s lives.
One of Clarita’s exciting projects is her upcoming book on sobriety, where she address the subtle effects of alcohol on those who may not recognize its impact on their lives. She said, “My book on sobriety is something I’m really excited about. It’s going to be very illustrative, much like Steve Haines’ books, such as ‘Anxiety is Really Strange’. What motivated me to write it is that I didn’t come from a background of addiction to alcohol, which is often the focus of many sobriety stories. Instead, the book is aimed at people who don’t think alcohol is harming their bodies or their lives and for those who may not see alcohol as a problem but don’t realise the subtle effects it has.”
As she reflects on her accomplishments, Clarita identifies her personal goal as maintaining inner peace and balance in her life. Professionally, she looks forward to continuing her journey in music and writing classical compositions, an area she has yet to fully explore. “My first classical album will be out later this year, and I hope people will enjoy it as much as I do,” she says, brimming with excitement.
In business and real estate, she remains determined to explore new opportunities, promising to keep an eye on future ventures.
