Emirates and Kenya Airways have established an interline partnership.

Emirates and Kenya Airways have announced a significant interline partnership, opening up a world of new travel possibilities for customers of both airlines. The agreement will enable passengers to access a wide range of destinations on the two airlines’ networks within a single itinerary, while also benefiting from seamless baggage check-in to their final destination.

Under this partnership, Emirates customers will gain access to 28 destinations on the Kenya Airways network. Nairobi will serve as the gateway to these destinations, which include Nampula, Bangui, Bujumbara, Kigali, Dzaoudzi, Lubumbashi, Kinshasa, Kilimanjaro, Juba, Zanzibar, and various other regional points across Africa. Additionally, Emirates passengers traveling via Dubai will be able to book a single ticket itinerary to or from Mombasa, a popular leisure destination in Kenya. This bilateral interline arrangement will offer Emirates customers greater flexibility and connectivity across the African continent.

Similarly, Kenya Airways passengers flying from Nairobi and Mombasa will have the opportunity to access the extensive Emirates network. They will be able to seamlessly connect through Dubai to 23 destinations across West and South Asia, the Far East, the Indian Ocean, and the Middle East. This will include cities like Singapore, Tokyo, Bangkok, Ahmedabad, Beirut, Hong Kong, Jakarta, and Seoul, among others.

Adnan Kazim, Chief Commercial Officer at Emirates, expressed his satisfaction with this new partnership, stating, “We are pleased to ink our first partnership with Kenya’s flag carrier. Kenya is a strategic gateway in our Africa network, and this new interline agreement will enhance connectivity for Emirates’ customers and provide them more travel choices across the continent.” Kazim also emphasized the airline’s commitment to deepening its relationship with Kenya Airways, which will result in greater network opportunities and improved connections for customers of both airlines.

Julius Thairu, Chief Commercial and Customer Officer at Kenya Airways, highlighted the significance of this partnership for their customers. He explained, “This partnership will provide the ideal gateway for our customers as we seek to increase our connectivity between Africa and the Middle East through Emirates’ hub in Dubai.
