Dubai Assembly for Generative AI Attracts Global Tech Giants to Address Humanity’s Key Questions Amid GenAI Revolution

Leading global technology giants, including Meta, Google, Deloitte, PwC, and Microsoft, are set to convene in Dubai next week for the Dubai Assembly for Generative AI. This gathering aims to address some of humanity’s most pressing questions in the wake of the generative AI boom.

Renowned experts from Silicon Valley, global AI specialists, innovators, government representatives, and academia will come together to explore the opportunities and challenges presented by generative AI. The assembly will chart a course for harnessing the potential of generative AI for the greater good.

Scheduled for 11th to 12th October, the Dubai Assembly for Generative AI will take place at the Museum of the Future and AREA 2071 in Emirates Towers, Dubai. This event aligns with the directives of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation. It serves as a global platform to explore generative AI’s potential and chart a path for its development and governance.

The assembly has several key objectives, including fostering a deeper understanding of AI, its applications, capabilities, and opportunities.

Generative AI stands as one of the world’s most vital and rapidly growing technologies. A recent McKinsey report estimated that generative AI is poised to contribute $4.4 trillion annually to the global economy. Additionally, it is projected to increase global GDP by 7% over the next decade, according to Goldman Sachs.

The list of strategic partners for this year’s Dubai Assembly for Generative AI includes Microsoft, QuantumBlack by McKinsey, Digital Dubai, Meta, PwC, and Deloitte. Younus Al Nasser, Chief Executive of Dubai Data & Statistics Establishment, Digital Dubai, emphasized the pivotal role of the Dubai Assembly for Generative AI in advancing the emirate’s digital transformation journey and embracing advanced technologies, particularly artificial intelligence.

Evelyn Miller, Vice President of Public Policy at Meta, highlighted the importance of diverse global perspectives in responsible AI governance. She stressed the significance of open collaboration between industry, academia, governments, and civil society in shaping the future of AI technology.

Ali Hosseini, Chief Digital Officer at PwC Middle East, expressed their dedication to advancing discussions on the growth of emerging technologies and their commitment to transforming businesses through AI.

Yousef Bakawie, AI & Data Leader at Deloitte Middle East, underscored the importance of generative AI and its potential to create unprecedented advantages for the Emirates and beyond.

Georg Wolfart, Head of Public Policy at Snap Inc., emphasized the vital role of events like the Dubai Assembly for Generative AI in discussing trends, regulation, and partnership opportunities between the private and public sectors.
