Shakira has bid farewell to Barcelona with her sons Milan and Sasha, announcing the start of a new chapter in her life. In an emotional Instagram post, the 46-year-old singer expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her in the Spanish city, where she had moved to give her children a stable life. Shakira announced that she was now seeking the same stability in another part of the world, next to family, friends, and the sea.

The departure from Barcelona follows the singer’s separation from ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique, who she reportedly caught cheating on her. Shakira and Pique, who played for FC Barcelona, were together for over a decade, during which they had two sons. However, the couple never tied the knot and parted ways in June 2022, following reports that Pique was dating Clara Chia Marti.

Shakira’s post on Instagram expressed her gratitude for the friendship she received from the people of Barcelona, which she said was longer-lasting than love. She also thanked her fans for their love and support, and promised that she would never forget her time in the city. Fans expressed their sorrow at Shakira’s departure, with one writing, “You will always be welcome in Barcelona, the shame is we can’t send Pique out.”

The departure from Barcelona marks a new beginning for Shakira and her children, who are now seeking stability and happiness in a new location. Shakira’s fans are eager to see what the future holds for the singer and her family, and they are confident that she will find the happiness she deserves.
