Abu Dhabi’s Mamoura British Academy Emerges as Top Contender for Prestigious Environmental Action Prize

In a remarkable achievement, Mamoura British Academy in Abu Dhabi, UAE, has secured its place as one of the top three finalists for the esteemed “World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action.” The school’s significant contributions to empowering its students and fostering sustainable initiatives have propelled it to this prestigious position.

The World’s Best School Prizes, with a total worth of Dh918,262.50 (approximately $250,000), were established in 2022 through a collaborative effort involving T4 Education, Accenture, American Express, Yayasan Hasanah, and the Lemann Foundation. These awards stand as some of the most distinguished honors in the realm of education, recognizing schools worldwide for their exceptional dedication to molding future generations and their substantial impact on societal progress, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Jill Huntley, Managing Director of Global Corporate Citizenship at Accenture, expressed her congratulations to Mamoura British Academy for being named one of the top three finalists for the World’s Best School Prize for Environmental Action 2023. She commended the academy for its remarkable work in safeguarding the planet’s future and hoped that educators worldwide would draw inspiration from this exceptional institution.

The winners of these five prestigious prizes will be selected by a panel of expert judges based on rigorous evaluation criteria.
