Originally slated to open next year, the school has now announced a revised opening date of August 2025. The decision to delay the opening was made to ensure that DBS Mira upholds the highest standards of quality and becomes a truly world-class educational facility. The school’s operator, Taaleem, remains committed to its growth strategy and plans to open DBS Jumeirah in 2024.

Dubai British School (DBS) Mira, which was initially scheduled to welcome students in the coming year, has announced its revised opening date as August 2025. The decision to delay the opening was based on the signing date of the Mira lease agreement and the commitment to delivering the school with the utmost quality. Sam Truman, the chief operating officer, explained that the additional time allows for the development of a truly world-class facility at DBS Mira. DBS Mira is set to cater to more than 1,600 students aged three to 11, spanning Early Years Foundation Stage 1 to Year 7. Despite the revised opening date, enrolment for the British curriculum school is already in progress.
