Wizz Air Abu Dhabi Launches Affordable Flights from UAE to India

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the low-cost carrier, has announced the launch of new routes from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to India, with tickets priced as low as AED 199 (approximately Rs 3,984). The move is expected to boost travel between the two countries, which has been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The airline will operate flights from Abu Dhabi to three Indian cities – Lucknow, Kochi, and Kannur, starting from June 2021. The new routes will offer more affordable travel options for passengers, as the airline aims to increase its presence in the Middle East and South Asia region.

According to Kees Van Schaick, Managing Director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, the airline is committed to providing affordable travel options to its customers. “Our mission is to provide affordable, safe, and comfortable travel experiences, and we are delighted to expand our network to India. With our ultra-low fares, we aim to bring more people closer to their loved ones and enable more business and leisure travel,” he said.

The new routes will be operated on modern Airbus A321neo aircraft, which feature a spacious cabin and comfortable seats. The airline also offers a range of additional services, including in-flight meals, extra legroom seats, and priority boarding, which can be purchased separately.

Passengers traveling to India will need to comply with the COVID-19 regulations set by the Indian government, including providing a negative RT-PCR test result. The airline also provides free COVID-19 insurance coverage for its passengers, which covers medical expenses and quarantine costs in case of a positive test result.

The launch of the new routes is expected to stimulate travel demand between the UAE and India, which has been affected by the pandemic. The UAE is home to a large Indian expatriate community, and the new routes will provide a more affordable travel option for them. Additionally, the new routes are expected to boost tourism between the two countries, as India is a popular tourist destination for UAE residents.

In conclusion, the launch of new routes by Wizz Air Abu Dhabi is a welcome development for passengers looking for affordable travel options between the UAE and India. With tickets priced as low as AED 199 (approximately Rs 3,984), the new routes are expected to stimulate travel demand and provide a boost to the aviation sector in the region.
