Oscars 2023 HIGHLIGHTS: RRR’s Naatu Naatu, The Elephant Whisperers’ wins make India PROUD

The 2023 Oscars had some exciting highlights, including the historic win of the RRR song “Naatu Naatu” in the Best Original Song category. The live performance of the song also received a standing ovation. Additionally, the Indian documentary short film ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ won the award for Best Documentary Short Film. The 95th Academy Awards, which recognizes the best talents in the cinema world, has taken place. The RRR team, including Ram Charan, Jr NTR, SS Rajamouli, and Keeravani, won the award for their song ‘Naatu Naatu,’ creating history. Guneet Monga’s ‘The Elephant Whisperers’ also made India proud by winning the award for Best Documentary Short Film. However, Shaunak Sen’s ‘All That Breathes’ lost to Navalny. 

Jimmy Kimmel returned as the host after two years without one, having previously hosted the show in 2017 and 2018. The awards ceremony took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, California, and was another significant milestone in the academy’s history.
